Symptoms of stealing in children:

Symptoms of stealing in children include loneliness, detachment, insensitivity, boredom, anger, low self-esteem, difficulty trusting others, and inability to form close relationships. Stealing is less likely to occur in a supportive environment that provides respect and equality for all children.

Stealing in children at school:

Theft in children can be treated at school by providing a supportive environment and treating all children equally.

  • Call the school superintendent.
  • Inform the parents of the theft.
  • Involve a school counselor or psychologist to help the child learn appropriate behaviour.

Reasons for stealing in teens:

Adolescence includes the occurrence of major changes in both the body and mind of the child, which may cause a lot of unwanted behavior such as theft, and among the causes of theft in adolescents:

  • Try to buy friends and get their attention.
