Diphteria is a disease caused by an infectious bacteria that leads to a serious throat infection that can impede the respiratory tract, leading to serious breathing and suffocation problems. Diphtheria produces toxins transmitted to various tissues of the body through the blood, causing a paralysis of the nerves that feed the head muscles. Limbs and diaphragm, also causing weakness in the heart muscles.
