Type of vaccine:
The rotavirus vaccine consists of a weakened living virus that is unable to develop the disease. The vaccine provides protection against the most common types of rotavirus. It is given orally. There are two types of rotavirus vaccine.
Type 1: It contains one type of rotavirus and is protected from the three other species indirectly.
Type II: contains four varieties of rotavirus.
