Games for executive functions skills in children.. Telling the story. Dramatic play. Movement games and exercise

Games for executive functions skills in children:

Telling the story:

Storytelling deals with different areas of the brain than what young children get from reading from a story book. When they listen to a story, they make full use of their working memory to keep track of all the different characters and what happened so far and continue to process new information as the events progress. It's a great exercise that improves focus, memory and concentration.

Dramatic play:

Pretend play is an excellent way to hone multiple areas of young developing minds. When they pretend play, young children have to consider their role and yours, they have to stay in character and they have to create plots to move the story forward, which encourages them to think flexibly.
