natural breastfeeding.. How is breast milk formed? How does a nursing mother care about the quality of her milk?

Breastfeeding:

Some statistics in some countries indicate that the percentage of breastfeeding does not exceed 8.5 percent. This indicator is declining for mothers who breastfeed their babies from the first hour of birth.
Breast milk is considered the primary food for the child, while formula milk is provided in very special cases with medical prescriptions and for a specific period of time if the mother is unable to breastfeed due to a health problem.

How is breast milk formed?

At the end of pregnancy, hormonal changes occur in the mother’s body that lead to changes in the level of the breast, such as enlarging in size, and the area around the nipple becomes dark and oily to clean the nipple and prepare it for the lactation stage. At birth, the pituitary gland secretes prolactin responsible for the formation of milk. Nerve signals to the brain stimulate the hormone citonin, which is responsible for the release of milk from the breast, which is sterile, free of germs, and sufficient for the nutritional needs of the child.
Therefore, it is very important that the baby be breastfed from the first hour of birth to stimulate the brain to respond and to secrete milk.

How does a nursing mother care about the quality of her milk?

The mother who is breastfeeding should pay close attention to her diet and make it as healthy as possible by increasing the amount of vegetables, fruits and fish because it contains omega 3. It is also advised to stay away from soft and industrial drinks because the healthier the mother’s diet, the better the quality of her milk. We also emphasize The need to take a breastfeeding position that is comfortable for the mother and the child to avoid pain and spasms that may occur to the mother due to uncomfortable sitting, and also to avoid wounds that may occur to her in the nipple if the infant’s sitting position is not appropriate.
