The development and distribution of hair follicles:
The hair follicles appear first in the eyebrows, upper lips and chin areas around the ninth gestational week, and in other areas in the fourth month of gestation.
The follicles in the scalp develop approximately six months after birth.
The total number of adults is estimated at about 5 million. Of which about a million are in the scalp (face, eyebrows, shampoos, eyelids).
