ATTENTION:

This vaccine does not protect against infections due to other types of Haemophilus influenzae, nor against meningitis of other origins.
In case of high fever, acute illness, it is better to postpone vaccination. Nevertheless, trivial nasopharyngitis does not justify delaying the childhood vaccination program.

As with all vaccines , exceptional cases of serious allergic reactions have been observed; this risk justifies the need to carry out the vaccination in a medical environment where an emergency treatment can be undertaken without delay.
The presence of a tetanus protein in the composition of the vaccine does not lead to protection against tetanus ; it is intended to promote the action of the antihaemophilus vaccine .

FERTILITY, PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:

This vaccine is intended for young children and is not used during pregnancy.

TIPS:

Febrile reactions due to vaccines can be combated with paracetamol.
To maintain its effectiveness, this medication should be stored between +2°C and +8°C (coldest part of the refrigerator). However, a break in the cold chain for a limited period (a few hours at an ambient temperature below 25°C) should not have any consequences. In practice, if necessary, a delay of a few hours can separate the purchase of the vaccine from the pharmacy from its storage in the refrigerator or from the vaccination.
This vaccine must not be frozen.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF THE DRUG ACT-HIB:

Injection site reactions: pain, redness, swelling, nodule .
Very common: irritability.
Frequent: cries, vomiting, moderate fever for 1 or 2 days especially in the event of simultaneous vaccination with another vaccine.
In rare cases, vaccination may be followed by swelling of the limb where the injection was made. This edema may be accompanied by the appearance of small purplish spots on the skin. These disorders disappear spontaneously in a few hours and leave no sequelae.
