WHAT IS FUSIDIC ACID ZENTIVA PRESCRIBED FOR?

This cream contains an antibiotic active on bacteria of the family of staphylococci or streptococci.

It is used to treat skin infections caused by these germs , including impetigo .

COMPOSITION OF THE DRUG FUSIDIC ACID ZENTIVA

p 100 g
Fusidic acid2 g
Butylhydroxyanisole+
Cetyl alcohol+
potassium sorbate+
Excipients  : Hydrochloric acid, Cetyl alcohol , Butylhydroxyanisole, Purified water, Glycerol, Liquid paraffin, Polysorbate 60, Potassium sorbate, White petroleum jelly

ATTENTION

This cream is not suitable for treating eye or eyelid infections.

If the infection does not subside after a few days, see your doctor. As with all antibiotics , prolonged or overly repeated use may increase the risk of bacterial resistance to this antibiotic .

FERTILITY, PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

This cream can be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women if it is used for a short time and on a small area of ​​skin. It is recommended to avoid its application on the breast during breastfeeding.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE OF THE DRUG FUSIDIC ACID ZENTIVA

The lesion to be treated must be cleaned before application.

The cream form is particularly suitable for weeping, macerated lesions, and in folds.

USUAL DOSE:

1 or 2 applications per day.

The treatment should not exceed one week, unless otherwise advised by a doctor.

TIPS

This medication should not be stored for more than 6 months after first use. Remember to note the date of opening of the tube on the box.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF THE DRUG FUSIDIC ACID ZENTIVA

Uncommon (less than 1 in 100 patients): burning sensation, application site irritation, eczema , skin redness, itching.

Rare (less than 1 in 1,000 patients): conjunctivitis , allergic reaction ( hives , angioedema ).
